In late May 2023, we found an old Universal #2 Food Chopper at an estate sale for a great deal, and picked it up. Though the grinder is old, and advertised as a "meat and food grinder", it was very unlikely it has ever been used for meat, and maybe not used at all. There was a small bit of rust but overall it seemed in good shape.

UNIVERSAL FOOD CHOPPER

No.1 Regular No.2 Large No.3 Commercial
With Self-Sharpening Cutters

Depiction of how to assemble the Universal Food Chopper.

Assemble as shown making certain that shoulder on end of feed screw enters slot in cutter. Screw the wing nut fairly tight for chopping meat. For other foods just tight enough to give slight resistance. Once assembled, clamp the chopper to any table or counter making sure enough clearance is left for a plate or bowl to catch chopped foods.
